Meet the artist
I am an Edinburgh based fine artist specialising mainly in Edinburgh cityscapes and other subject matter which inspires me.
Born and raised in Angus, I was Dux in Art at Brechin High School with a portfolio ready to apply for Edinburgh College of Art. However,I decided to become a primary teacher studying at Moray House College of Education in Edinburgh, a career which ended with me lecturing in Education on both Dundee and Aberdeen campuses of Northern College of Education.
Since then I have undertaken Continued Personal Development at Edinburghs Collage of Art, Edinburgh Drawing school and have studied Portraiture at Edinburghs Portrait Gallery. During lockdown I undertook online modules with Robinwood Art School.
Painting mainly in oils, I like to capture Edinburgh’s iconic landmarks and excellent architecture, evoking the atmosphere of the city scenes at different times of the day.
